NIU Student Musician Scholarship Fund
The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra has established a scholarship program for Northern Illinois University (NIU) music students who participate in the orchestra’s performances.
Six to 10 of the members of the KSO are NIU music majors who add their talents to the orchestra while gaining valuable performance experience. Donors may support these scholarships, and will be listed in the concert programs with a contribution of $500 or more for the season.
High School Senior Musician Scholarship Fund
New in 2022, these scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who intend to pursue music in some form in college as a music major, music minor, or with participation in a school-sponsored orchestra or other ensemble. Eligible students must live in DeKalb County, have participated in a high-school level music program, and must be admitted as a student at a college or university.
