Reilly Farrell, violinist, has performed with the KSO since 2017. However, Reilly was featured as “the boy Beethoven” at the 2013 KSO Children’s Concert at just 9 years old. Reilly has studied violin and piano since he was a toddler, growing up in the NIU Music Building. He’s especially proud to perform on stage alongside his teachers who have influenced him so much.
“The KSO has given me years of orchestra experience that I’ve used to build a real career in music,” says Reilly. “I’ve developed leadership skills and the ability to learn music more quickly and efficiently.”
Reilly is majoring in violin performance at NIU, studying under Matthias Tacke. Reilly says, “I’m excited for my future with the KSO.”
