The KSO is excited to announce the launch of the KSO Summer Lesson Scholarship Program, a new program designed to provide students the opportunity to strengthen their musical skills through summer private lessons.
This scholarship is open to DeKalb and Sycamore music students ages 11-15 who are not currently taking private music lessons. A limited number of scholarships in the amount of $125.00 will be awarded to select students to help them receive high-quality summer music instruction at little or no cost. It will be the responsibility of the student’s family to cover the additional cost of summer lessons.
The eligibility criteria, list of approved instructors, and online application (available in English and Spanish) can be found at kishorchestra.org/summer-lessons. The deadline is Monday, May 12, 2025.
